Professor Paul Flatau

Professor Paul Flatau commenced as the Director of the Centre for Social Impact at the UWA Business School (CSI UWA) in December 2010. The CSI UWA is part of a national initiative under the CSI banner with affiliate centres at the University of New South Wales, and Swinburne University. Paul has over 100 publications covering a broad range of fields including labour economics, the history of economic thought, poverty, unemployment, and housing. In recent years, Paul has made significant contribution to homelessness research in Australia. His most recent work covers topics such as intergenerational homelessness, homelessness and service integration, the costs of homelessness, youth homelessness, refugees and homelessness and the financing of homelessness services. Paul is currently leading a Bankwest Foundation funded five-year research program entitled Supporting Development and Growth in the Community Sector in Western Australia and the Journey to Social Inclusion Mark II randomised control trail study in Melbourne.
